Tattered Girls cape? - Page 2 - Guild Wars Forums

*Sigh* You noobs!

All these items are here to unlock a secret profession known as "The Gwens".

I'll tell you how, listen carefully.

First you have to collect 5 flowers pre searing but don't give them to her, buy a flute as well, again don't give her anything.

After you destroy ascalon you grab the tattered girls cape and the broken flute, you run to the river to the south east and stand in the water for exactly 95 seconds. After the 95 seconds are up you quit the game (exactly 95 seconds). Next find rurik, talk to him 13 times, on the 13th time leave the window up and go open your fridge door 13 times (closing it each time of course).

Once this is done close the window and go back to the river. Stand in it and equip the cape as a weapon and the BROKEN flute as your shield. Equip each of the 5 flowers as your armor.

Wait another 95 seconds and quit your game again.

When you get on your char again it will have transformed into a Gwen.

Gwen is a very imba profession with such skill as "Randomly stand around not helping", "Heal 20 whenever I feel like it", and "Spin in a circle while the Me/W gets owned in front of her very eyes".

If you guys attempt this and mess up your cd will blow up and it will delete it's self from your computer, FBI agents will walk into your house and inject something into your neck making you forget your CD key if for some insane reason you had memorized it.

Everything you touch will turn to ash and jesus will spit in your face.

I stepped on her cape, kicked the flute, and spit on the tapestry. I hate her, and I hope the tattered cape means the drakes ate her.

In seriousness, I'm sure that if there isn't already some kind of super cool secret surrounding Gwen then there will be in future updates. I'm sure that the devs are aware of the buzz surrounding Gwen at the moment and also the props given to Gwen after the now famous BWE during which she smote everyone with her girly wrath.

I tried the steps expained above, and it seemed to work. But the next time I tried to play my Gwen build, it kept saying "That name is already in use, please select another name"!

It???s been so long that I didn???t even remember posting in this topic.

Surprisingly I still have the tattered cape; both the quest item and salvage item versions.

But I???m sorry to say I???m not willing to sell them, even though I???m sure they won???t be used for anything. Would be weird to keep something in storage for 2 years and then sell it for 5k.

This is exactly why ANET shouldn't have the Tattered Girl's Cape used for anything other than being memorabilia. Exclusive items being pawned off for gold to people that are Gwen crazy and fearing they will miss out on some special bonus. I saw someone trying to sell one for 100k+ the other day... and why?

Take something out of the game that's related to Gwen without any explanation... then later release an expansion with Gwen in it... would be nice if this can be resolved.

ANET, please let people know what's up with this item. If you never plan on having a use for it... at least people will finally know. If you do plan on having it drop again... at least people will not waste their gold on it. Miniature Pigs anyone?!
